sure you can! its no secret every one with a soul has it back home even animals so i guess in theory pokemon here could probably have it or something like it heck maybe thats how they can manifest their powers??

it protects you from getting hurt some people can channel it better than next guy especially if they have a greater source of it than the other person but its not infinite it takes time to recharge you deplete that in the middle of the fight and boom that next hit is all on you
