[ Anyone tuning in to Yang's transmission today is in for a fluffy time. Literally. She is currently sitting on her knees between three largish Pokémon, that all barely fit in the already wide shot. Her proud Pyroar sits on all fours to one side, regarding the antics of the rather playful Arcanine who's enjoying Yang rubbing her tummy, and a majestic Ninetales is sitting with her back to the camera while Yang attempts to use the brush in her main hand to smooth out the post-washing curls. It's not working too well. ]

Okay, real talk! Does anyone have as much difficulty with grooming as I do with my crew? I mean, just look at them! [ A wide gesture, smiling and laughing as she does so. ] Do you have any idea how many brushes and combs I've gone through since I got here? I'm pretty sure I've spent less on evolution stones...

[ Of course, being the proud owner of a magnificent blond mane herself, she isn't about to let her Pokémon go with anything but the best in pet hair care. Yang resumes the brushing, much to the satisfaction of the Ninetales, who looks a little sleepy. ] Don't get me wrong, it's a lot of fun, but if anyone can recommend any tips or good places to shop for sturdier tools, I'm all ears.

[ Speaking of ears, she pauses briefly in scratching Rowdy's stomach to rub behind her own ear. ] —and can someone with a Joltik tell me if this kind of behavior is normal for them? I don't mind it exactly, but it's hard to keep track of her when she gets like this.

[ What is Yang talking about? Well, when she turns to show the back of her head to the camera, if one squints, it may be possible to see one very cheerful Joltik making itself cozy in the long wavy strands of Yang's substantial hairdo. Like she's building a nest for herself, almost... ]

Hah! That's comical. [ A sidelong glance. ] Of course that reminds me that Jolty's going to be a bit bigger when she evolves ... if I let her. [ Yang scratches her cheek. ] Is it weird to keep them in the original stage on purpose just because of the cute factor?

Ahh, well, I'm not the one to ask, really, since I kind of let them evolve or not as they want... But I have a few who've chosen not to, and I kind of suspect that Rose does it to stay small and cute, so.

Do you ever factor in what that means, like, from a tactical standpoint?

Honestly, I kind of let them do their own thing. I just help out with the training a bit - Rose is the real tactician.

Playing it fast-and-loose, huh? I can appreciate that. Must make gym battles tough though.

Eh, not really. It helped when we went through and got the badges we've got that Rose insisted on being really over-leveled, though.

How over-leveled? Because.. I dunno, it seems like that would take all the excitement out of it.

Like... level 100? I told her not to use super-effective moves, though, so that was at least something of a challenge.

She's the one who wanted to go around and do it, though.

Well... [ Yang dwelt on that thought a moment. ] Reining her in on an idea like that wouldn't be fun either.

She'd get her way whether I tried to rein her in or not.

[The Joltik on his shoulder purrs. He knows Ryner spoils everyone, especially Rose.]

[ Yang laughed a little. ] I'd say I know the feeling, but... I guess I'm lucky my crew and I are on the same wavelength for the most part.

Ahh, that's good. It's better when you agree on things, you end up less beat up that way.

[is he joking? is he serious?]

Haha, yeah! Something like that.

[ ...wait. ]

Do you get hands-on in training your Pokémon, too?

Kind of? It's more like they rope me into helping out.

[and Rose beats him up outside of that, but]

They should be careful. We're way squishier than most of the Pokémon I've seen.

Ehh, I've had worse, if you'd believe it.

Hmmm, well I don't have any reason to doubt it.

At least she's got a sense of how and when to hold back.

Actually, are there people clinics here too? I haven't needed one, but it'd be good to know.

Pretty sure the Pokemon Centers treat people too, when they need it. I never really have, though.

Huh. That's good to know! They're convenient for the most part, but I hope that doesn't mean they try to download me into any machines... [ It's a joke. Probably. ]

Heh. Then let's both try not to play too rough with our Pokémon — or each other, come to think of it. [ As someone who routinely goes toe-to-toe with her own sister in the ring and comes out sporting new bruises weekly, that's a load of crap, coming from her. She more meant random acts of violence. ]
