[A little while after the L.U.C.Y. dating profiles go up, Yang will get a message from a very disgruntled-looking little sister.]

[ There is nothing wrong here whatsoever. Yang is doing her best to look innocent -- probably since it's been a few days she legit forgot. ]

Oh, hey sis! What's up? [ :D ]

What thing...?

[ It isn't on purpose! Two seconds later, with her eyes looking up, she gets that look of recognition. ]

...oh yeah! [ Glancing back down, still all smiles tho ] How's that working out for you?

You signed me up for one of those dating site things!! Do you want dad to kill you if he finds out about this????

[Ruby was an unashamedly affectionate person. She freely gave it, and was more than happy to receive it. She never found anything odd about this, except...

Except for today. Today she felt different. Not bad different, just. Different different. It was thanks to a strange, bubbly feeling in her chest, like there was a bird fluttering around inside it. On top of that, she had the strangest urge to seek out her companions, so at some point during the day, Yang will be getting a knock on her door.]

Heeeey Yang~!

It's open! [ Yang was seated on the floor, back against the bed, with a few various magazines open in front of her on the floor. Someone was busy today at the market, grabbing all kinds of pokemon related literature that wasn't of the textbook variety. Everything from breeding to beauty tips. There are also a few temp work applications tucked in there, half-filled.

She looked up from her current article on racing and beamed. ] Hey, sis!

[Ruby's no stranger to suddenly bursting into rooms, so that probably won't surprise Yang too much. What might surprise her is the way Ruby rushes over, wrapping her arm around Yang and planting a kiss right on her cheek.]

Surprise!!

Whoa!! [ The biggest part of that surprise is the way Ruby's weight on her causes her to drop her magazine and slam a hand down into the floor to keep from spilling right over. Yang's laughing all the same, and giving Ruby a look. ]

Someone's in a good mood, tonight. What's the happy news? [ She assumed there had to be a reason for that kind of outburst. ]

I don't need any kind of news to show my sister I love her, geez. No secret motives here!

[Still, her smile is still plastered firmly on her face!]

I dunno, I just... feel really happy today, that's all!

[Instead of immediately chewing Yang out over that dating profile, Weiss has let her anger simmer in the background for a while. Something's a little different today, though, and she knocks on Yang's door at some point.]

Yang? We need to talk.

[ Yang has, for the most part, forgotten all about that. She got semi-chewed-out by Ruby, which she just sort of rolled with, but she just figured that Weiss either 1) got over it, 2) got into it, or 3) didn't get any replies on her profile (not like Yang checked it out herself after all) and thus Weiss never learned of what had transpired at all.

Though the phrase "we need to talk" should probably have tipped her off...

Yang stopped in the middle of her morning stretching routine, still dressed down for bed. Doesn't much matter how late in the morning it is, she's been treating this more or less like a family vacation.

She opens the door with a big smile all the same. ] Morning, Weiss! What's up?

Well, about a week ago...

[She pulls out her Gear.]

This happened. Am I right in thinking this was your doing? Because that was grossly inappropriate.

[yanginthere]

[ Yang leaned in and down to look at the screen but it didn't take her too long to realize what this was about. ]

...oh! Uh. So you did get matched up with someone after all? [ She just sort of. Leaned back and edged out of the doorway, but into her room because if this was going the way she thought it could go, she really did not want to make a scene in the hallway. ]

[Weiss will just follow, shutting the door.]

Did you even read this? There was talk about hurting kids from whoever it was that answered this. That's not okay, that's awful.

yeah we got here safe & sound
just hanging out & getting some training done so i dont feel like such a tourist
my pokemon are getting a workout too i guess :P
how about you? everything go okay with that guy?

yes he was very friendly and helpful
he showed me around Goldenrod and got me back to Cherrygrove with no hassle

[okay with LITTLE hassle but that wasn't on him]

I've also been training
but for me it's JUST my pokemon unless you count the workout of traveling
which I guess I do

[ Yang had been lowkey worried. ]

haha yeah it pays to stay in shape
with the lack of transit options especially
id hate to get rusty with my fighting just because i "shouldnt" need it here

I'm not really an outdoorsy person
and the locals really are against violence so I hear (yay)
but for someone who fights all the time I can imagine that'd be a concern
have you had any luck in finding a job?

2/19 Evening

[Penny's visit with Ruby had been a little more rushed than usual, given the awkwardness from earlier in the day. But she'd still made sure that her friend's injuries weren't anything serious, and dropped off some ice and a small packet of painkillers.]

[And now it was time to do the same for -another friend?- Ruby's opponent, anyway. She raised a hand, bag of ice held in the other, and knocked.]

Yang? It's Penny, are you in?

[yanginthere]

Come in, Penny. It's open! [ Yang is just laying on her bed face-down, idly flipping through some magazines. Between being banged up and full of dinner she hasn't been too motivated to get up and do anything else. It's going to be bedtime soon anyway but she can spare a smile for her friend when she's inside. ]

Hey, what's up?

Salutations! I just wanted to make sure you weren't hurt too badly.

[Holding up the bag of ice in demonstration.]

I know it's a big adjustment not being- not having your aura, I mean.

[Or, say, a solid metal endoskeleton.]

...Was it a good match? Ruby said she won.

[Maybe. Just a little prouder of her friend than was strictly tactful when talking to the loser of said fight.]

[ If it's pride that Penny's worried about, she won't have to be. Yang has plenty of that to spare for her sister, too, despite her own painful loss. She chuckled and waved her hand. ] I appreciate that, I do, but it's nothing that won't heal.

[ Though one look at her bandaged wrist and she deflated sheepishly. ] ...I guess I did push my limits a bit. [ Another grin. ] Ruby got me, and how!

[She has to laugh a little at that.]

That's good to hear! Though I've heard there's not much that won't eventually heal, here. Just not... not something I think would be a good idea to test.

[She shakes out a small hotel hand-towel she's been carrying and wraps it around the ice bag, offering the improvised cold-press to Yang.]

I bet if you asked her she'd say she learned a lot of it from you. She's talked about what a great fighter you are.
